Women Elected Officials in Action
Women Elected Officials in Action is a three-year regional project funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada. It aims to improve working conditions in municipal environments and to support the participation and advancement of women in municipal politics across the Estrie region.
The project begins with a series of roundtables held in each Regional County Municipality (RCM), bringing together mayors and municipal councillors to share their experiences and collaboratively identify concrete solutions. These discussions will lead to the creation of a collaborative network bringing together elected officials, municipal employees, former elected representatives, and community partners.
Becoming a member means:
• Contributing to concrete, on-the-ground solutions
• Joining a committed and collaborative network
• Supporting a more inclusive and equitable municipal environment
PEPINES supports and facilitates this network to foster sustainable, collective, and meaningful action for change.
